If you have firefox (i dont know what it is in IE but i think there shold be something similar) right click on the picture in your link and select copy image location its this; http://casjobs.sdss.org/ImgCutoutDR6/getjpeg.aspx?ra=172.53201925&dec=53.08589056&scale=0.39612&width=512&height=512&opt=&query=
if you put that between th eimg brackets you get: (drum roll  ;D )

  Try these guidelines...

Oh let me just a moment stay
where time is not and angels play the paeans of the galaxies;
then speed the stardust on its flight
to change dread darkness into light, cold chaos into ecstasy!

I'd suggest "Galaxy 404" as a more appropriate name. I think you added an extra digit somewhere in there. The number you gave, as it stands, doesn't reference anything in the SDSS.

Name your galaxy here.  There millions of millions of galaxies and there is NO reason why YOU couldnt name a few.  Eventually they will all need names, might was well get cracking.  :)

When we get a bunch of names, someone will compile the list and make it available to the entire televerse.

Suggestion Zookeepers, add a name it field to the next version.   I would allow anyone who classifies the galaxy to take a shot at naming the galaxy OR vote for a previous name.

Sorry, unfortunately it's impossible to name galaxies (or stars). If someone tries to sell you the right to name anything in the sky, they're defrauding you.

Why is it impossible?
