This is one for all you newbies to post in. Anything interesting that you find or great discoveries that you make. Or, maybe, just a question.

This will save you having to start a new topic each time you post, and will help to keep the stickied threads tidy.

You can post whatever you like, here from GZI, GZII or Hubble Zoo

Ask as many questions as you like, that's what this thread is for.

If you find something special, someone will pick it up.

We were all newbies at one time ;) so come in and practice posting and searching etc.

Feel free to PM me if you have any problems

Welcome to the Zoo :)

Regards   Tom

Not sure what the blue thing to the right is.  Tried to zoom in on it but when I got closer to the center I lost it.

well....as a "newbie"....I LOVE it. I'd be much more likely posting objects and queries HERE.

I'll feel less like a bonehead asking "what's this?" "what the heck?" and  "what about THAT?" and "OMG!" in the big guys area all the time.  lol

Since this is for newbies...  is there are specific place to post "rings"?  In the FAQ it says they like to know when you happen upon one.

Hi, turnerjazz. That is a strange one. I would guess at a faint irregular galaxy IMHO. If an object like this pops up on the analysis page as the target, click Star/Don't Know.

  Tom

In the mean time, do any other zooites know more about  turnerjazz's faint fuzzy?

Ok so now we have some newbies here. post you pics here. If they have not been posted on any other relevent thread then you can post them there.

Are you all familiar with the search feature? This is very important as it stops the threads getting bogged down with the same images over and over.

Hi, turnerjazz. This one has already been posted in the ring galaxy thread and the oddballs thread. We should keep that one here for the moment ;)

I would put this one in the ACW spiral category.  If you invert the image,
one of the choices in the finding chart, you can sometimes see more structure.
