This idea existed for a while already, when I was “poked” about it, this Summer in the UK, by a few regular zooites. So yes, here it finally is: a topic for the get-together in the Netherlands.
Where?As suggested we are going to meet-up in
Heerlen* – which is where I live. This is also close for the people from Belgium (
). Of course I’ll help everyone to find a place to stay and to get here even!
What?I’ve asked the head of the
science centre** in Heerlen – where I’m going to give a lecture soon – if we can visit as a group and he said it would be fun to open the doors especially for us on a Saturday (for free)! How cool is that?! He’s on the forum too btw.
The science centre is in a forest, next to the restaurant and visitors centre of
“Natuurmonumenten”** (Nature Monuments).
When?I’m inviting you all on the last weekend of November, which is (probably) approximately a month after the meet-up at Patrick’s and before the busy December month. So, we’re going to the science centre on
Saturday 29th November (I didn’t say times yet, as I don’t know yet how many people and when they all will arrive). Of course I’m open for suggestions on the Sunday too, if people are staying.
If you’re interested, you can post it in this topic, if you definitely want to come (and didn’t say so already)
then make sure you also PM me! (Even if you don’t need help with finding your way – I need to know at some point how big the group is). Needless to say you are also welcome if you’ve never been to a meet-up before. We are a nice bunch of friendly people and any zooite can join. If you’re coming over and don’t have my mobile number yet – PM me to exchange them.
