I got a weird e-mail from Wiki, but hey, at least I changed some facts. (I wasn't 25 when I found HV, but 24 and I did not call it a Voorwerp first, someone else on the forum did!) ;D

For me is good.
I'm reading the galaxyzoo entry and I have some doubt.

What have you noticed Half? Can we fix it?

IMHO
There is no mention to paper presented and accepted.
There is no mention to other project like merger, irregular, overlap.
I believe a chronology of the major event it's necessary
Probably we need to create an entry about zooities.

It depends how detailed the team want the entry to be though we could add links to Nereid's thread. I think in its current form it is a good general description of the project - though lots more could be added to make it more detailed.

I agree with the Zooite entry (I actually searched for this! :))

Is it better to expand on the current English version before translating it or translate it as it is now and then decide later what else to include?

In any case I'm starting to write down an entry in Italian (could be useful to made advertise on galaxyzoo for Italian due to the fact that wikipedia is visited widely).
Corrections can be made at any time.

Jules, that's a wonderful idea so we can translate a more complete entry.

My experiences with Wikipedia, in the past, have been varied. As a researcher, I've been stung by "slanted" views, stated as objective facts.

Can I just throw in my ha'pennorth's worth, geebers?
The beauty of Wiki is that, even though sometimes it does have erroneous comments in it, generally it contains valid cross-references which we (the public/layman) would be unable or incompetent to locate ourselves. So, in that way I feel it has become an indispensible tool and one of the magical wonders of the internet...and therefore progress.

Of course that also means it is well-deserving of being kept as accurate as possible by those who know the facts.
Oh let me just a moment stay
where time is not and angels play the paeans of the galaxies;
then speed the stardust on its flight
to change dread darkness into light, cold chaos into ecstasy!

Have just found this thread and find it a bit scary (not really. more slightly disturbing)

Wiki is just Wiki and evolving but useful tool: and the last time I looked GZ wasn't gospel or dogma.

And it really is goodnight from me:)
