The blog entry second-paper-accepted says, in part "Hopefully, we’ll be able to write more about what the referee wanted, but in any case I’ll get the new version online later this week."

Does anyone know where the new version is, online?  ES' and waveney's posts each provide a link to the same arXiv preprint, it's [v1], dated 29 Apr 2008 (the blog entry is 6 Jul 2008).

I'm also quite interested to hear about what the referee wanted, and what differences there are between the v1 preprint and the paper that was actually published.

As of today, September 18, 2009, this paper has 22 citations (according to ADS).

Ten of these are other Galaxy Zoo papers.

The remaining are (in chronological order):

Inclination- and dust-corrected galaxy parameters: Bulge-to-disc ratios and size-luminosity relations; Graham, Worley (MNRAS).  This paper itself has 29 citations!

Destruction of Molecular Gas Reservoirs in Early-Type Galaxies by Active Galactic Nucleus Feedback; Shawinski et al. (ApJ).  Itself cited 13 times.

2MASS/SDSS Close Major-Merger Galaxy Pairs: Luminosity Functions and Merger Mass Dependence; Domingue et al. (later version published in ApJ?)

Combined Effects of Galaxy Interactions and Large-Scale Environment on Galaxy Properties; Park Choi (ApJ).  Itself cited 10 times.

2MASS/SDSS Close Major-Merger Galaxy Pairs; Domingue et al. (ApJ)

Environmental Effects on Satellite Galaxies: The Link Between Concentration, Size and Colour Profile; Weinmann et al. (MNRAS). Itself cited 13 times.

Data Mining and Machine Learning in Astronomy; Ball, Brunner ("Invited review to be submitted to International Journal of Modern Physics D.")

Spatially Resolved Galaxy Star Formation and its Environmental Dependence II. Effect of the Morphology-Density Relation; Welikala et al. (ApJ)

AINUR: Atlas of Images of NUclear Rings; Comeron et al. (submitted to MNRAS)

Automatic morphological classification of galaxy images; Shamir (accepted for publication in MNRAS)

How old are SN Ia Progenitor Systems? New Observational Constraints on the Distribution of Time Delays from GALEX; Shawinski (accepted for publication in MNRAS)

Recent Star-Forming Activity in Local Elliptical Galaxies; Huang, Gu (MNRAS)
