"How to Take Part" Poster
« on: July 19, 2009, 06:46:28 pm »
This is a "preview"  of a poster that was used at a recent public event. It is too big to upload to the forum (about 2 MB), but if you would like the file, send an email to galaxyzoo@siue.edu.  Feel free to reprint and share!  ;D

Ooh that does look like a nice poster Georgia! 8)

I used a flowchart on an event, with example cards, which I posted here. :)

These are excellent, Hanny!! How large are they?  Would you be willing to make a set in English?  ;D

Of course! :) And I made these A4 size, so I could easily place them next to the computers people were classifying on at the event, but I can make 'em bigger as well if needed. :)

What is A4 size?  ???

I think that having them small enough to put next to a computer or laptop is perfect. In fact, I had a request to make a pdf handout of the tutorial page... which is still a good idea... but your cards are great.  Let me know if you'd like help with the English version.

Oh sorry, I meant the flowchart is A4 and then the others coming after that too.. so I have 6 A4 cards, if that makes more sense. ;) I covered them in this plastic foil, so I can use them more often.

And thanks, but I think I can manage the English. ;)

I'm busy with some other stuff before I can come over to the UK this weekend, but when I'm there I'll have some time to adjust them. I'll let you know when they're ready. :)

Well, I'm still confused on the A4 part... ;D

Is A4 a standard card size? What are the dimensions?

Good Grief!! I had no idea paper was so complex...  ;D  Interesting from a mathematical perspective, though!  Well, I always learn something new in the forum! ;-)

Sorry for the late entry here Georgia, you probably have worked it all out now. A4 is most similar to your US Letter size. Sadly I know more about paper size than I would care to admit to ;D

Letter 216 x 279mm ( 8.5 x11 in )
A4 210 x 297mm ( 8.3 x 11.7 in )
