Just a reminder of what it SHOULD look like according to the latest research (including the bar appearing peanut-shaped when viewed edge-on):

And a nice intermediate not-exactly-face-on view:



I suppose the key is having a prominent, long bar in the middle and tightly wound arms, with two bright ones (Perseus and Scutum-Centaurus) and a few fainter spurs.

So far I think those come pretty close:

The thing I find interesting about your image of the Milky Way is that you show one of the arms elevated above the rest of the galaxy...
I like to find asteroids and galaxy mergers- but all galaxies are still fine to me.

If you mean the second image from top this is positioned this way to show our local neighbourhood where the Sun is, namely the Orion Spur.
