Neither of these 2 SN discoveries (PTF 11bkd, PTF 11bmo) are SN Zoo discoveries.     :(

None of these 3 SN discoveries (PTF11 cda, PTF11 byi, PTF11 bup) are SN Zoo discoveries.     :(

First and most important - thank you to Robert for all this work in this area.

BUT - and yes I know this makes me sound rather cynical! - I'm finding it rather worrying that most SN Zoo "discoveries" are still not being published in a timely manner. Or indeed at all. Why?

Remember what we were all told
"Q: What happens if I discover a supernova?
A: The first step is to get confirmation of the discovery. We're currently using a mix of old and new data, both of which are useful for science but only some of which might lead to a confirmable discovery. If we can get confirmation, we'll do that for you — the first step is to take any object that has been marked as a supernova and quickly show it to many other Zooites. Our team at the WHT will follow as many highly ranked candidates as they can — keep your fingers crossed for clear skies. If we're successful, we'll make sure that those that spotted it get the appropriate credit."

I will be pleased, but astonished, if peer reviewed publication of all of the results contributed to by amateur participants on this site ever happens. Certainly not in the short or medium term.

I will eat my proverbial hat if any amateur gets discovery credit, via peer reviewed publication, for a supernova based solely on work they did on this site.

BTW I hope to be proved wrong.

Remember you read it here first!

I am adding 2 old ATel reports to this post which have SN Zoo discoveries for the sake of completeness. These 2 reports were published before PTF started publishing their first weekly report on April 1, 2011. I will try and keep this post up to date each week as PTF publishes a weekly ATel report.  Interested zooites can then retrieve the science data on their discoveries. There remains numerous unpublished SN Zoo discoveries for which we unfortunately have no science data at all....this issue has been discussed at length on this and other posts.

Nilium, you are correct....these were definitely previously posted in "Discoveries" and now they are missing. Good pick up. There may be others. I will notify the technical lead of this glitch. Very strange to say the least.
