Greetings Alice,

I assure you that the discussions were not about Nielsen's book or how he handled anything.  It was much more abstract in that it was about how to induce professionals to participate when considerations of credit (for example attribution recognizing substantive intellectual input) are significant for those whose careers depend upon such recognition.  It is a basic "culture" issue and both the individuals and their institutions need to buy into a new way of doing things.

Nor did the discussions have anything to do with the Zookeepers, et al. who quite frankly have done a remarkably excellent job of giving credit to the contributors.

Nothing sinister whatsoever!  ;D

Best regards,
ES

PHEW!  That's a relief.  For a minute there, I thought that I had posted one too many asteroids.  :D :D :D  It all makes sense now.

Cheers,
Lynn
