« on: May 18, 2012, 10:54:28 pm »
Lecture notes from the first Zooniverse Project Workshop 2012 start here. I've broken it down into 3 sections. Blogs to follow. :)

I've now had a time to look through Jules's 'notes'.

I see that a number of the projects were discussed as case studies - so I was probably being a bit over ambitious, when I suggested going through all the projects, at our Oxford meet-up.

One thing that wasn't mentioned, as far as I could see, was the Browsers - most of the projects are on IE, though at least one (Planet Hunters) is on Chrome (Google).

With regards to the 'Storm Centre' project, some time ago I did get in touch with the Remote Sensing Society (http://rspsoc.org/) to see if they could come up with anything for a project, so the 'Storm Centre' might be one, to get them interested in Zooniverse projects.

As someone who was on a 2:1, for his under-graduate statistical analysis degree work, all this data makes me feel hungry - I probably would have asked a lot of techie questions, if I had been there.

Jules, that is so bad it's the kind of thing that *I* say ::) :D ;D

Btw . . . this is proving popular with the Twitterverse as well as here. Quite rightly so! ;D

Sounds like you had a great time Jules and thanks for the report.

Did they mention how they were going to fix the "Talk" forum?
