Is this supernova?

I was classifing galaxies and came across this image. What is it?

Welcome to the Zoo! The bright upper image is a star, but there is an artifact to the left of it, probably a satellite trail. The galaxies look as though they are merging, but I cannot get any more informatio as you have not quoted the ID reference of the image.This link may help you with image posting  http://www.galaxyzooforum.org/index.php?topic=272425.0

After the better part of two years at Old Weather(note the username), I've decided to try something different.  I don't know about this image; is it a star, an artifact, or a supernova?  If it's a supernova, does one just say "no" to everything except "other" in the "is there anything odd" category?  It's a little frustrating that there's no text box to describe the oddity--or is that someone else's job?

Looks like a star. BTW.....this project is closed.
