Oooooh . . .  ;)  ;D

I wouldn't bank on that, especially not before I've had a few cups of coffee in the morning . . .

And I don't want to be the only life-form on Earth. I'd get lonely.

Be reassured, there is more than one intelligent life form on earth ... wales, dolphins, mice .....

Thanks a lot for sticking this Alice.
Thanks a lot for all the new faces, that are proof that there is at least one life form out there, that uses Galaxies to paint messages  8)

A very old one, too old for the reference number to be still with us, sadly . . . I thought this looked like a sort of chiselled face, looking upwards, almost in profile . . .

That's great, Alice, I see it too!!
But what do you mean "too old for the reference number to be still with us"?
Do you mean from the Analysis page, the Galaxy Ref # beginning 587?
Or do you mean the ra & dec so we can load the SDSS page???

'cos I can get that from your picture   :D

Ah. Before this forum was set up, there was a substitute one here (lots of nice pix!) which was far less formal and organised so we didn't bother with reference numbers. I found that face fairly early on and posted it, and when I saw this thread I nipped back and retrieved it!

Still trying to work out whether you people's classification of me as a life-form is a compliment or not . . .  ;)  ;D
