Please find a link to "SDSS DR8 SAS Get Spectra - Bulk Search" for 38 spectra of confirmed SNe taken by chance with SDSS 2.5m telescope days to few months past explosion.

Most are SN Ia, a few SN II I've posted part in supernovae thread (this one) , part in Supernova Science

Enjoy clicking to look at individual object thumbnail (/ row) viewed within this bulk query!  ::)  ::)

spectrum of SN 2004cm  type II in galaxy  1237661418212098257

SN unvisible in image 2003-3-10:10:24 one year before explosion
but discovered by SDSS team on date obs spectrum 2004-03-24,  that's +21 days of estimated explosion  ::)
