OK, I'm from APOD, was alerted about this thread, have now registered, and am here to say that APOD would certainly consider another Galaxy Zoo image.  The thing is that individual Zoo images have a hard time competing with, say, Hubble Space Telescope images.  Still, spelling something out with a number of cool-looking merging galaxies is interesting.  For example, can anyone spell "Galaxy Zoo" with a array of cool looking Zoo galaxies?  If so, APOD would certainly consider that.  Also, a complementary roll-over image with the same galaxies but where "Galaxy Zoo" is traced out explicitly like with constellation lines would be wonderful.

Submissions topic for this here, thanks Kevin! ;D We thought he should blog about it too, to get more people onto the forum interested and to demonstrate their Photoshopping skills. ;D

some fool has placed a drinking fountain on the Moon- another huge waste of energy by transporting it there.
